  Russia is opening a regulated crypto market on September 1 . But for ordinary investors, the door isn't being opened to the entire crypto market. It's being opened to just three assets: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether's USDT . So why these three? The Bank of Russia created a strict eligibility filter based on market size, trading activity and trading history . A cryptocurrency must have: An average market capitalization above 5 trillion rubles Average daily trading volume above 1 trillion rubles At least five years of price history on foreign trading platforms The measurements are based on the preceding two-year period.
